Counselor

East San José Elementary School has a full-time school counselor, a special education social worker and several therapists. The job of the counselor is to work with students on short-term issues. They work with students, teachers and parents regarding student’s developmental progress.

If there are more significant issues requiring more intensive intervention, the counselor may refer the student for therapy either at or outside the school. Please contact the counselor and social worker for any concerns you may have about your child.
